For a long time, I carried the dream of visiting the Sahrawi refugee camps.
To commit myself to a humanitarian cause, to capture human expressions, to tell untold stories this felt essential to me.
Originally planned as a five day journey at the end of October, my stay was shortened to just two days owing to movement restrictions recommended by the UN Mission, MINURSO. Yet those forty-eight intense hours were enough to transform my vision.
I encountered souls of extraordinary resilience, smiles that defy adversity, and moments of pure dignity.
This exhibition is a tribute to the women and men who, each day, keep hope alive in the heart of the desert.
