Architecture of Hope

Discovering the camps confronted me with a heartbreaking reality: my country hosts the second longest refugee crisis in the world. Fifty years of displacement, this story began before I was even born.

Solidarity with the Sahrawi people resonates deeply within me. Freedom, independence, dignity—these values are etched into my DNA.

Today, it is estimated that around 173,600 refugees live across the five camps of the Tindouf region. To respond to this extraordinary situation, an impressive humanitarian machinery has been set in motion.

27 organizations work hand in hand in coordination with the Algerian government and the local Communities. This complex ecosystem, which includes four UN agencies, forms the Sahrawi Refugee Response Plan—a monumental effort where every partner contributes a vital piece.

In this humanitarian choreography, every gesture matters: Sahrawi volunteers distributing food with intimate knowledge of each family, teachers passing on knowledge in the camp schools, and countless others who, behind the scenes, weave the daily bonds that keep hope alive.

At the beginning of this chain stand you—public and private donors. Without your commitment, none of this would be possible. You are not mere funders, but the true architects of hope.
